A good option for those on a budget.

The staff is super helpful and the nurses are very nice on the assisted living side. The food is not good unfortunately. The room size for a studio is good and the bathroom is good. The grounds are older but my dad has a patio he can sit on which is great. Free internet and cable is a bonus. They have frequent events and have transportation should they need it to doctors appointments.

Review for Spring Valley Assisted Living

I wasn't aware that when I asked for a private room that he would not be in the Memory Care Unit. The staff was very good to my husband who is not always easy to care for. He liked the food and the activities. I learned many things. I don't need to take his glucose monitor or his blood pressure cuff. Next time I won't request a private room.

Pros and cons

Staff may not always be the most attentive to persuade residents to follow through with oxygen etc but are all very nice. Misplaced clothes are an issue yet that is typical. Staff assist residents with phone calls. Therapists are great especially speech

Friendly Staff and Affordable, but Food and Admin Could Improve

The newly refurbished facility is a bargain, and the people are awfully nice. Food is generally poor, though some options like lunch meat sandwiches and salads exist as permanent options to replace the regular cafeteria-type options. As far as assisted living goes, I don't find the care or responsiveness of admins all that great, but if you stay at it, they'll answer your questions.

Would not recommend

I absolutely loved her regular day and night nurse. If we were given the actual truth on what level of care/timing of checking on patients during our tour, we would have chosen a different facility.

Spring Valley Assisted Living

The facility itself needs quite a bit of external repair. It looks great from the front but when you drive her all the way around the building, things are falling apart. One of the decks on the second story in the back is just about ready to collapse. my dad is not unhappy there. It's not a terrible place. The food is just OK. He has gotten ground beef and chicken that was raw in the middle so the food could use an upgrade or the cooks other than that everything's OK. the employees I have had no problem with they'v
