Best Place For My Mother - Independent Living Review

The residence is newer, up to date, pretty courtyard and landscaping. The staff is very caring and kind across all levels. Many activities for both men and women. Repair/maintenance is very responsive. The food is good quality and prepared well for the most part, every now and then an off meal or too small a portion. The residents themselves are very welcoming and inclusive of everyone - this is the best part of living there. Drawbacks - weak internet, staffing shortages in food service.

Living at The Claiborne

Quality of food and preparation more than poor. Often not edible. Food does not compliment each other. Spaghetti and corn on cob. Very poorly cooked and very sloppy served. Often run out of condiments and crackers. Dishes. Servers are excellent Food is actually deplorable. For what we pay it is pathetic. They do not know how to put dishes together that go together. very low quality food

the food is consistently very bad, and it is inferior to even a barracks cafeteria in which the cooks are aspiring to prepare inedible food. even a 5% additional investment would improve the dining quality by 100% or more. We must assume the director there does not consume or taste any of the food prepared in the kitchen for the dining residents.

Great place, but cost is high

I like the Claiborne but the cost for Seniors is outrageous. Since my cousin has been there the cost for care has increased by [fee removed].

The Claiborne has been wonderful to momma she loves it there. She has met everyone, she loves the staff too! [name removed] at the front is so well wonderful and kind to everyone residents and family. A place for mom is a godsend. Our experience with The Claiborne

There is a new director who seems to be very engaged and interested in making Claiborne a great place for the residents and families. We have been very pleased with the quick responses we have gotten when we have had issues. They have also been aggressive with corrective actions and the results are starting to show. They also seem to be getting their staffing sorted out. All in all, we are very pleased.
