PositiveI initially spent a lot of time with marketing rep to get a better overall understanding of the assisted living and memory care centers concept with a specific interest in how person with dementia is cared for as they move through the changes in their disease. We only had a short time for a tour. The two-bedroom assisted living unit model was very nice. By comparison, the memory care center unit was very small and depressing to me. I assume that it is probably like that at other facilities, also. I was told that a …

CriticalA propped-up facade designed to display a level of quality and care that is charged for, but never delivered. Priority seems to be placed on finding new ways to collect additional fees, in a disturbing "bait and switch" style of business, rather than delivering actual care. You are told "All she has to do is press this button and someone will be there to help". In reality, you are not informed that help may take 15-30 minutes to arrive, which in some cases can be the difference between life and death. Understaffe…
Response from the communityDear Mr. Plumb, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are disappointed to read your characterization of your family’s experience, as it does not reflect our understanding of the concerns that were raised or the extensive efforts made by our team to address them. When concerns were brought forward, our Executive Director met directly with family representatives to review each issue in detail, discuss medication administration protocols, explain resident assistance procedures, and address questions regarding staffing and care delivery. We take all concerns seriously and conducted follow-up discussions as part of our commitment to resident well-being and quality service. While we respect that families may ultimately determine another setting is a better fit for their loved one’s needs, we disagree with assertions that our community operates in an unsafe manner or that resident care is not a priority. The safety, dignity, and well-being of our residents remain at the center of everything we do, and allegations of neglect, abuse, or intentional misconduct are inconsistent with our values and expectations for our team members. Several of the concerns raised involved expectations regarding medication administration. Our community follows all applicable state regulations, physician orders, and established clinical protocols when administering medications. While family members may at times desire a different approach, our responsibility is to ensure medications are administered in accordance with regulatory requirements and accepted standards of practice. During our discussions, we provided clarification regarding medication timing requirements and resident-requested assistance procedures, which are governed by these standards. Senior living communities care for individuals with a wide range of needs, and it is important that families have a clear understanding of how services are delivered, including medication administration guidelines, resident-requested assistance procedures, and individualized care plans. Our team works diligently to communicate these processes and partner with residents, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support each resident’s needs. We wish your loved one the very best in her new home and thank you for allowing us the opportunity to serve her.

CriticalStaff including management and front desk turn over very, very quickly. 2-3 directors a year since opening. kitchen staff CONSTANTLY leaving. Residents often wait 1-2 hours for food to hit the table. Sometimes buffet because of no servers. This food is not tasty at all. Other independent living places allow the chef on site to determine recipes and meals. The Enclave’s are all corporate recipes. The joke residents constantly tell is, “Well, at least I didn't need to cook or do dishes.” Ha ha, not worth it for the m…

PositiveMy mom really loves it there. We are trying to figure out the method of care plans and how they create the rates. I wish the communication was better. It seems once they get you in they lose interest in communicating. We don't see reports, or updates in how she is doing with her level of activities, she see's PT but we don't get any updates on progress. The food is great, the comforts are great. The lack of conditional follow up is our family's largest complaint.
★★★★★
PositiveThe staff is super patient, knowledgeable, easy to talk to and worth with. The facility itself is clean tidy and has a certain resort style feel to it.
