Review for The Oaks

The overall experience at the Oaks has been good. The staff have been attentive and responsive to Mom's needs. As she has been ill, staff have been bringing meals to Mom's room. She seems to be enjoying most of the prepared meals and there are several choices for each of the three meals served daily. The residents are kind and welcoming and there are many daily activities. Frustrating

I was a resident. I found management minimally responsive to questions. I found the food had a strange after taste that made me ill. Items when I signed lease were changed such as room move fee from $[Amounts removed]& bedridden residents to receive meals after dining room closed & food served was leftovers with a fee per meal for delivery. Fire alarm went off at least 4 times lasting at least 5 minutes with no explanation from management. Room A/C registers barely worked with moldy smell. Humidity in apartment at …

The staff and residents are very kind and welcoming. Some of the residents are ambassadors that help new residents get to know the facility and get acclimated much faster. That really helped my dad get more comfortable faster.

[name removed] gave us a tour of the facility. She was so kind and helpful. She explained things, showed us around, introduced us to others, and hosted us for lunch. It is a clean, bright and lovely place. I felt welcome and I think anyone would be happy there!

I honestly did not know you could get a place like the Oaks. It has been the best place for myself and my sister. I would definitely rate all of those qualities,5.
