So far it's been a 5. No complaints whatsoever. We have seen a remarkable recovery ever since she started there. The staff is wonderful. The place is clean. The other residents are a lot of fun. I'd recommend it for sure.

We used The Phoenix for 2 weeks of respite care while I was out of town. I felt like my husband received good care while I was away. He didn't complain about anything and seemed to enjoy the company of the other residents. The facility was always clean and the staff were kind and friendly.

The food is not good. We have to take food to our family member. Management is very wishy washy. They promise to do things and then don't do them. They do not return phone calls. We picked the Phoenix because they have controlled access to the front door. It allows them to handle dementia residents in their assisted living area. The problem is that they are not staffed to handle the care needs of a dementia resident in the assisted living area. And the memory care units are not suitable for a resident unless their dementia is so severe that they no longer need activities or food choices. I think there other, nicer facilities in the area - that we found when looking - but the best thing about this one, for me was/is #8 - VALUE FOR THE MONEY. I only know my Dads room. It is a one room efficiency it... adequate. Dining room adequate, choices of food adequate. They have in-house PT and regular group exercise. Contracted nursing/medical services. Not much communication from staff to family. Have tried numerous times to reach out to the wellness staff but they never return your calls or email. Still have no idea if physical therapy is an option for our mom as the staff have not communicated that info with us.
