My friend had been in 2 other memory care facilities and this was the best of the three. The staff knows how to relate to folks with memory problems: friendly, sensitively and redirecting as needed. A lot of activities. People are up and about.

Caring staff

The staff at Rawlings seemed to really understand how to relate to people with memory issues I observed many interactions between staff and residents. Staff was kind and friendly. They promptly contacted me when there was a concern/ health issues.

Highly recommended

Can't sweep enough. Never encountered anyone that wasn't very kind. All of the aides were super. Sometimes paperwork was a bit disorganized. Food was mostly well- balanced. Activities - my mom didn't do any but stuff I saw looked good for memory care. Value - I believe that the price is very overpriced for nursing homes. The care was great.

Nice community for my aging parent

If eel like she doesn't need a lot of care but they seem very nice when I'm there. Our loved one wont participate in the activities. It is a lot of money for taking her to the bathroom, bringing meals, and coffee, hospice does a lot. After my experience with everything, yes I would recommend this community to other families

It's been a few years since I had toured the community, but since my last tour I am very impressed with the new Management team and department heads of the community. Several different layouts to select from for your loved one with two beautiful courtyards residents have access to anytime. I am very impressed with the recent changes and am excited to recommend The Rawlin at Riverbend Memory Care to Family and Friends in need of senior living.

Do Not recommend

It appeared they were short staffed a lot, which I was told should NEVER be the case because they have resources for staff. You are supposed to have 24hr access to your loved one however, there was more than one instance where after the receptionist went home, no one came to the door when someone (including my mom's hospice nurse) came to see her. My mom fell a lot, and there did not seem to be a plan for how to prevent her falls. Again, on more that one occasion I was told, "we went into your mom's room and foun…
