Mission Aborted

Recently visited my cousin who lives there and was considering moving to heartis myself, but things aren't what she was promised . First off the staff changed and so did the level of her care. Staff act as if there is no morale in the building or concern for the residents. Food horrible and when you make a complaint about these things nothing gets done or they blame previous administrator.

My mother was well cared for at Heartis

My mother had recently experienced a couple falls that resulted in a hospital stay, rehab and eventually placement in a memory care facility. We selected Heartis due to their reputation, nice facility and staff credentials. My mother was a handful but all the caregivers were caring, compassionate and professional. I commend the staff for their dedication and commitment in what is a very difficult working environment.

Would not recommend for memory care

We started in assisted living. Great rooms, good service, pretty good food and dining. Management not good. We were evaluated for assisted living by manager and so we then moved from Somerby, which we liked but was more money, and within three weeks, sent to memory care. Felt like smoke and mirrors. They got us in then shoved mom into memory care. It was much worse than assisted living. 2-3 out of 5 in memory care. Management was turning over multiple times and inconsistent in memory care. I visited 10 Memory Care Facilities and chose Heartis. They were very professional and I felt that my loved one......

I think the entire staff was caring and compassionate and tried very hard to do a good job. I felt like they were understaffed for the number of residents that they had. They did a good job keeping the area secure. I visited 10 Memory Care Facilities and chose Heartis. They were very professional and I felt that my loved one got the best possible care. The only area of improvement that I suggest is more staff

Would recommend, great place to live.

I would give each a 5 except that it's a little pricey. I really like how welcoming the staff has been, the way you can tell they really know and care about each resident and how clean it always feels. My mother in law really enjoys the food as well
